Easter Weekend
The kids were out of school Thursday and Friday for the holiday so we with friends to see this new place we call home. We drove for an hour through the beautiful countryside to this Churrascaria (bbq place). It was very good food. They bring the meat to your table and cut pieces of whatever type you want and however much you want. This is a very common restaurant here. They are usually very expensive, but this one was quite reasonable.
Good friends, Good times!
After dinner we went to a park where you can skydive. This is a picture of Tim trying to decide if he should do it. He chickened out in the end, but hasn't stopped talking about it so I'm sure it's only a matter of time before we go back.
Alison, Vitor, and Kyle playing on the playground.
We stopped at a roadside market on the way home and bought lots of fresh foods. The farmers just pull their trucks up and sell their produce out of the back. I loved it and bought Apples, oranges, pineapple, eggs, and something else that I don't remember the name. They have so many fruits that we do not have in the US.
glad you got to explore a little and hang out with friends.do they speak english?
ReplyDeletewe went to a brazilian meat place in utah, i am sure yours is better but i did not like all that meat!
those stands will be a lot cheaper than the market, hit those up when you can!
is it real skydiving, out of a plane? ki did it but i would never!!!
Not much English, but Tim helps me when he can. Yes real skydiving! One of the sky divers told me in perfect English " only skydivers know why the birds sing" I think that was all the English he knew, but I had to laugh. I don't care to know why the birds sing!!!!
