WINTER BREAK 2011
PART TWO
After our week of fun in St. Louis Tim headed back to Brazil for work and the kids and I went to Salt Lake City to spend some time with my family.

We arrived in Utah on the 14th of July which is Tyler's birthday. We celebrated with a dinner of mexican food. It is very hard to find any mexican food in Brazil and we so miss it!

Happy Birthday T-bone!!!

Alison, Josh, Dani and Kai at the Zoo.

Grandpa Richard and Kyle

Tyler and Kyle love the Zoo. Can't you tell?

We also went to a Salt Lake Bee's baseball game

and also did tons of shopping at our favorite place GATEWAY!!!

Kyle at the waterpark:)

Jake and Ashlyn

We spent several days on temple square. We had our friend Pamela with us from Brazil so we tried to show her as many things as possible.

Love seeing the cousins together!

Pamela, Jen's four kids, Rogers four girls and the Bishop kids at Temple square.

Kiley and Kyle were just the very best of friends. He will miss her lots!!!

All good things must come to an end!:( We arrived in Brazil after a very long flight. Tired, hungry and very sad. Our days of sleeping in, eating Mc Donalds everyday and Jake driving are over for another year. We are enjoying our time in Brazil, but there is no place like home!!!

WINTER BREAK 2011

I know it doesn't look much like winter, but in Brazil it was as winter as it gets. We started our trip on July 6th in St. Louis.

Our favorite place to be on a summer day is the Manchester pool. Brought back many great memories.

The whole family went bowling . Everyone had to pay a dollar to the pot to play and winner took all. Well, actually Gramps won and Grandma Kathy gave the money to the kids for ice cream.

Mark and Tim

Abby and Ali

Gramps and Tyler

Jimmy and Michelle and their four crazy boys drove from South Carolina to St. Louis to spend three days with us also. This is us at the Bird show in Grants Farm. Super hot and super fun.

Kyle feeding the goats!

You can't go to St. Louis and not spend a day at the amazing and FREE Zoo! Especially with the Blaser boys who love all animals! We were glad that Jimmy and Michelle made that long drive. We miss seeing them a few times a year like we use to and also they are moving to Canada next month so who knows when our next visit will be.
We loved seeing all our family and friends. It was a great week home and of course i shopped a lot! which was so fun for me and stressful for Tim :)
Tim headed back to Brazil for work on the 14th and I went to Utah to spend time with more family. Stay tuned! My charger has still not arrived so that post with have to wait till I get to use my friends charger again :)

BLACK AND BLUE

I dropped the kids off at school on Wednesday and ran home to shower and help Tim because the movers were bringing the rest of our things. I got a call from the school just a few minutes after I got home and they said Kyle had a little incident at school and hurt his eyebrow and I need to come get him. I was still in my pajamas, but i quickly ran back to school to pick him up. One look at him and I knew this was going to be a trip to the hospital. Him and another boy had been playing cops and robbers before school started and they bumped heads rather hard. Kyle was so brave. The nurse from school went with us to the hospital to help me since my Portuguese is not so good.
After four stitches and quite the shiner. He has been back to his old self. He is so glad to finally have his bike here and I had trouble keeping him still. Tyler and him have built a ramp and have been having a blast!

FESTA JUNINA
June festivals, the Feast of St. John of the popular saints or feasts are celebrations that take place in several countries historically linked to the pagan festival of the summer solstice, which was celebrated on June 24, according to the Julian calendar and Christianized the Middle Ages as "the feast of St. John."

We have had lots of fun this month celebrating with friends.

Games, Carnival, and lots of strange and yummy foods!

I've said it before and I'll say it again... Brazilians know how to have a good time!!

Feels like Christmas!

We have been in Brazil for almost 5 months and finally our air shipment arrived. A little Rolley, Polley man knocked on my door with the good news, but said we needed to figure out how to unload his truck ourselves. WHAT??? Did he think we own a fork lift? There were two pallets with boxes weighing about 350 lbs. each. I was determined to get that stuff so Tim made a phone call from work and sure enough we had 3 great friend ready to help.

I've never been so happy to see my kitchen such a disaster!!!

The kids were great helpers and hopefully we will have all this stuff organized soon!
Tim is so crazy at work so he missed all the drama, but it seems like a daily thing around here so there will be more to share I'm sure of it.

Now if the boat will arrive we will officially live here! Yikes, it's kind of been like a on going trip, but reality is starting to sink in. I will be so happy to sleep in my own bed though. The rental furniture has been so not comfortable and both Tim and I are feeling it!

frango inteiro!

I wish I had a picture for this post, but i didn't dare. I asked the maid to make a roasted chicken for dinner tonight. She asked if I meant "frango inteiro"? I said yes! A little later i walked into the kitchen and their were chicken parts on the counter. She proceeded to smash them up and add them to a mixture I can only describe as sand like. It is called Farofa. Then, she stuffed the bird with it! Yuck! I guess fango interio means the WHOLE chicken. In her defense the chicken was great, but no one tried the stuffing! I kept thinking if only Grandpa Tim were here to appreciate this!
